About Me
I am a technical analyst, customer support focused professional, and solution-oriented problem solver with over 10 years of combined technology experience. As a lifelong learner and former math teacher, I live by the philosophy that we can all benefit from a growth mindset and that there’s more than one way to solve a problem. From my vantage point, every problem has a solution, and every solution has potential opportunities to help others. Uncovering these opportunities is what motivates me in my career.
After growing up in a family of machinists, carpenters, and engineers, it shouldn’t be any surprise all my personal hobbies are connected to STEM projects. To be honest, I’d like to think of myself as the character Jim Preston from the movie “Passengers.” When Aurora asked him why he left planet earth, Jim’s response was simple and characterizes me perfectly.
“I like to make and repair things, and on earth, things get replaced when they break and are not repaired… These are my type of problems to solve.”

Repair Experience
I’ve acquired numerous skills over the years, but my greatest first-hand experience with repairs evolved from being a homeowner. I’m an avid do-it-yourself advocate that grew up in a household of carpenters and machinists.
I’m no machinist, but I have accomplished great feats working with wood and completing home renovation projects. In fact, there isn’t much I can’t fix in my house unless it involves HVAC, foundation, and advanced electrical repairs.
I built this shed because my wife became frustrated with all my lawn equipment taking up too much space in the garage.
Here’s a list of other DIY home projects I’ve completed:
- Major appliance and electrical fixture installations
- Custom irrigation systems, outdoor decking, privacy fences
- Kitchen renovation and walk-in closet design
- Laminate, tile, and carpet installations
- Surveillance and connected smart-home systems design
- Kitchen and bathroom plumbing
Professional Skills
- Enterprise HW/SW Technical Support
- Management Consulting & Systems Integration Services
- Data Analysis, Reporting, & Automation
- Applied Mathematics
- Programming: C++, .Net, VBA, T-SQL
Hobbies
I love technology and enjoy using my analytical skills to solve real-world problems. I like to work on STEM projects using platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other single board computers (SBC) to develop control automation solutions. If I'm not innovating and building gadgets, I am likely in the garage building or repairing furniture. kayaking the great outdoors, or trekking 20+ mile journeys on my road bike.
