@danj I think he is taking about those blueish spots that can be seen on the lcd. The Apple Store will say they are burn in marks from leaving the computer open for several hours on the same image. An explanation is pretty hard to find, certain is that is a screen problem. Do you still have warranty for it or Apple Care+?

Hello, That looks like a lcd cable that is not plugged all the way in or like a faulty lcd. Try and unplug it completely and plug it back in and see how it works. (make sure you disconnect the battery during this operation)

At this point more than likely the ssd is failing, but maybe a system problem too. You can try and access your files through Target Disk mode. You will need an Thunderbolt cable to hook it up to another machine and hold down T and turn the computer on. It should show up on the other machine as an external hard drive and that way you can save your files. After your files are saved on another storage device you can try and reinstall the OS by completing wipe the SSD and see if it works, if the same errors show up it's time for a new drive. The El Capitan disk maybe is not bootable, has only the installer on it and thats why doesn't show up. If you don't have another computer to create another bootable El Capitan disk, try recovery mode again, with the computer off hold down CMD+R and press power after that, see if it works that way. Sierra and High Sierra will not work on that machine, El Capitan is the highest it can go.

That image shows that the ipad didn't recognized the cable and that's why is not charging. If it would charge fine you should see only the battery without the cable and eventually to turn on. The problem can be from the cable ( but you already tried that), the charging port inside the ipad that need to be changed (you need to take the glass off to do that) or is a logic board issue.

After battery and charging dock replacement i would say it's the tristar IC (1610A3), but because was liquid damaged a technician needs to look at it, make sure the board is properly cleaned and there a no other shorts or problems that can make the phone to not charge.

I would not recommend using super glue or any liquid type of glue on the home button or anywhere close to internal parts. It can make more bad than good. If you still want to keep your old glass i would recommend putting a piece of tape over it that will keep it in place until you decide to get a new screen.

Can you post a picture to see the damages? If it didn't ripped the board and the contacts underneath it, it should work, if the contacts are ripped they need to be rebuild to work again.

Hello, Either the new sim card made the phone to go in freeze mode, or somebody else tried to unlock them with a wrong code before. Now beside the network unlock code you will need a code to get the phone out of freeze mode. Can i have the IMEI (you will find it on the back of the phone underneath the battery or in menu if you type *#06# ) of the phone maybe i can help you with the unlock codes.
