Why does it stop working
Compressor is not running, its not freezing at all.

Do the lights work in the refrigerator?
If so looking at a poor image of the wiring diagram (best I could find), the power for the compressor, goes through the defrost timer and a start relay and capacitor to get to the motor and then through the motor to the temperature control thermostat and out again.
So the problem could be anywhere along this path.
If the freezer fan and condenser fan are also not working then it could be the defrost timer or the temp control thermostat that is the problem.
If the freezer fan and condenser fan are working then it's the start relay, capacitor, motor or overload protector that could be the problem.
You may need to have a DMM (digital multimeter) and know how to test safely for AC voltage to find out where the problem is.
