I dropped my tablet in the bath tube now it wont turn on

john bock you have to treat it like any other water immersed device. For now stop continuing to try to charge, sync or otherwise use your tablet. This potentially can make a bad situation worse.This may further damage your tablet.

The next thing to do is to clean it. Disassemble your tablet phone using something like this video. Once you have it apart, remove the motherboard. You must remove all EMI shields. If you do not remove those, you might as well not do anything. After you removed those, clean the whole board, connectors and all with at least +90% isopropyl alcohol. Follow this guide , and even so it was written for an Apple 3G iPhone, all the points are still pertinent to your tablet. While you clean your board, check for any obvious damage, like burned or missing components etc.Also clean everything that plugs into your motherboard (cameras etc. But I would not immere those in the alcohol, just use a brush to clean them. Pay particular attention to all the connectors. When it is properly cleaned, replace the battery. This is a must! All these steps are to avoid delayed failure caused by corrosion. Best thing to do would be to clean it with an ultrasonic cleaner, but if you do not have access to one, this will at least help. Once all this is done, reassemble your tablet and reevaluate. Until it is cleaned, everything will only be a guess. Even with all this, water damage has only a small chance to be fully repaired, but at least you can give it a try.

The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the tablet's operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion starts immediately and is ongoing until it is completely cleaned away

First do not try to charge or to turn on your tablet and then remove the battery as soon as possible from the tablet to minimize any further damage.

Then you need to dis-assemble the rest of the tablet and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available at electronics parts stores) to remove all traces of corrosion and water. If possible do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is only 70% IPA or less, can contain additives and is not as effective. If you do have to use it check the label to verify the amount of IPA. The higher the percentage of IPA the better

As always with electronics, especially surface mounted pcb be gentle when handling and especially when brushing away the corrosion. You do not want to remove any components from the board. Remove the shields that may be covering some components as the water may have got in under there. The ends of any flex cables and their connectors need to be cleaned as well

Hopefully after you have done all this the tablet might possibly work correctly again.
