How to replace video cable vaio flip

my video cable is corrupted i see longitudinal lines on the screen while any little movement,

i opened the case, unpluged the Lvds cable from the board but the other side of the cable going through steel axis with black plastic cover

i need to know how to reveal the black cover for the axis to see the whole cable!?

Hi,

Are you sure that you have to remove it?

Looking at this video for a different Sony model the LCD cable passes through an opening at one side of the hinge. Perhaps your model is the same. View from about 7:40 minutes into the video
