My original remote will not pair

Echo Remote with 1st Generation Echo

The original Echo remote which I have, which used to work, and then it was misplaced for a while, and then found, is not pairing.

The batteries were replaced, and then instructions were followed on the app to pair remote, but nothing… App states “ Replace batteries, Hold play button for 5 seconds, Wait for up to 40 seconds"…

Can someone help me with this please.

Hi @dadrockpodcast ,

Try resetting the Echo and check if that resolves the problem.
