replacing cpu thermal paste

as this laptop is getting quite hot sometimes, and in an attempt to increase functionality, could you please post a guide to removing the motherboard as well?

i'd like to see if it's at all possible to replace the thermal paste

Here's a link to the service manual for your laptop, taken from this HP webpage.

Scroll to p.43 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the heat sink and replace the thermal paste.
