Hi @mmm813 , proceed to your acer bios, and check if the hard drive is detected.
Under the BIOS you should see if the HDD is detect,
If so, run HDD diagnostic test to check on your HDD.
Some BIOS has a built in simple HDD test, you can check from there.
else, your HDD could be faulty. the only way to test is to get a known working one to replace and see if the system detects it.
If your hdd has issues and wish to replace, I would recommend you to replace to a SSD for performance.
