Can you Help me?

I have an Android Tablet from Verizon it was working fine all day had at least 80% left on the battery but when I went to go into my game as usual it just froze wouldn't let me touch anything nor would it do anything. Then after I just set it down it went black and wont turn on ever since. I've tried the power button and volume button trick but it didn't work.

My elipsis 7 tabet battery is so dead , I plug my charger in and it shows it's charging but it stays on 0 % and when I plug in to battery charging port it feels like the cord has a loose fitting. But I need to get it fully charged asap ! It's about a year old but no damage to it why ! Can anyone help ?

da

Well it's my husband's tablet ! It only comes on when you wiggle the cord while in the charge port can anyone help us with this ?

da

I have had the same problem. It's the cord and or the charger. They have the tendency to bend get a new cord and or charger and that should work it did for me good luck friend.

da

Sorry charge port or USB cable.

da

I agree. Cable or charger. It seems to require a fairly large charge current and those micro USB connectors are fragile. Try a good cable. Make sure the charger is large enough, like, the original. Another note: I was in Europe using a "cube" to convert and got crazy responses while it was plugged in. So, it is sensitive to noise, coming down the cable and the capacitance in your body/hands, etc., I believe.

On the side there is a little seam. Use a credit card or something similar to gently pry the back cover off. Once opened, you will see the battery with two cables connected to it. Unplug the white plastic plug for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Do NOT remove the ribbon cable. Snap the back on and then turn it on after you charge it back up. Enjoy!

Oh thank you East408shark!!! My tablet wouldn't power on, either. I followed your instructions and BAM!! It works. I had to file an edge of a credit card for it to fit. Also, there were 4 or 5 wires (red, white and black) going into the white plug. Thanks for saving me $$.

I tried this with no luck. Not sure If I am disconnecting the correct cable or plug. Does anyone have a picture of the correct cable to disconnect?

da

Hi Matthew, I don't know how to upload pictures to this topic. Sorry I can't help you with that. Mine has 7 wires on a white plug. That's the one you need to unplug. So I'm not sure what's wrong with your tablet but I don't think this will help you because there's only one plug to the battery. There's a ribon that looks like it connects to the battery but its not the one. Have you tried charging the battery? Is it the same charger you have always used? Is the battery puffy. Did u root it and run something that messed it up? Give me some details and hopefully I could help you out.

It might have to do with the battery being the issue. It could be that the battery is not working right, or for some reason the connection between battery and motherboard is disconnected. If the battery is disconnected, then that is easy to fix yourself. Just remove the back of the tablet to see if the battery is connected all the way.

I took the back of the the Elippsis 7, unplugged the harness cable to the battery, and carefully removed the battery. Ordered another battery off Ebay for $10 including postage. Put the new battery in and slapped it back together...now it charges great!...saved me $200 from buying a new Ipad. I am not recommending this for anyone to do. I'm just explaining what I did

I had similar problem. It is an older ellipsis. Not even sure if it was a 7. The battery symbol came on when plugged in but stayed at 0% charged. I tried holding power button down, holding it down with volume button down. Nothing worked. Then I tried disconnected battery for 1 minute. Reconnecting and plugged in charger. SOLVED! Battery starting charging right away.

Note: It was a lot more difficult to take the back cover off than YOUTUBE videos show. Very hard snaps. I had to take a very thin blade metal trowel to get it started near a corner. Then used a plastic stiff wedge type tool to unsnap the cleats one at a time. Once the cover was off and battery was exposed, it was not obvious how it disconnected because there were no obvious ribbon plugs connected to it. I figured out that at the top end was a tab that was attached to battery and was screwed down against the mother board. That was the battery connection..... a simple contact type connection held in place by the two very small screws. Hope this helps those with similar issues that have tried everything else.

Try holding down the power button for at least 10 seconds and that should restart the tablet and then it should power on for you with no problem

Hi Bella reilly,

Don't know your tablet but look for a app in your apps menu list called File Manager or something similar.

Open it and then use it to navigate to where you downloaded the file to. Once you have found the downloaded file, tap on it (or double tap) and hopefully the file will be opened.
