Clean and disinfect the Nintendo Nunchuk with disinfectant wipes to remove any bacteria, dust, or stains.

Insert the Tri-wing Y0-Point Screwdriver into the two 8 mm screws at the back of the controller, and unscrew them both counterclockwise.
The Tri-wing Y0-Point Screwdriver has a sharp end, so be careful not to accidently hurt yourself with the sharp end while using it.

Remove the top cover of the Nunchuk by pulling it off with your fingers.
Be careful not to pull too hard on the cover so that you do not accidently dislodge the parts inside the Nunchuk. You may need to apply some more force if your Nunchuk is an older model.

Remove the central control stick by tugging on it until the control stick slides off the slot.
You may need to pull harder on the control stick if your Nunchuk is an older device.

Attach the new stick by inserting either the Nintendo Wii Nunchuk Control Stick or a Gameboy Controller Control Stick onto the nub.
Make sure that the stick is securely and firmly inserted.
