    • Slide switch to 'open' on left side of reel to remove left cover.

    • Remove the palm-side cover, then spool assembly from center frame of reel.

    • Remove lube-port screw using small Phillips screwdriver.

    • Unscrew star-drag until it is loose, remove it and the handle washer from the shaft.

    • Note: You may have to hold the reels gears in place in order to unscrew the drag, as it will try to spin the gears.

    • Remove three spool cover screws from reel.
