Introduzione

This is a very simple guide that will help you dissasemble and replace the motor of your Holmes box fan, this process is easy and it only requires a screwdriver and a new motor to install.

  1. The first step is to make sure you unplug your fan from the outlet. Make sure you also unplug the power cord from the back of the fan. Make sure you also unplug the power cord from the back of the fan.

  2. Now that your fan is unplugged, lay it flat with the brand label facing upward. Next is to remove the front cover.

  5. Remove these four screws in order to remove the motor and fan blades from the housing.

  6. The housing should now be able to lift away from the motor and fan blade.

  8. Now you are able to remove the motor from the fan blades. Be careful, if you used your fan recently the motor may be quite hot.

Great guide! Upon reassembling, I noticed that the center of the propeller touches the front grill where it says Holmes. Anyone know if they rub on each other by design?
