Background
The Garmin Fenix 3 is a smartwatch designed for fitness, specializing in outdoor and underwater use, released by Garmin in 2015. It is distinct from the Garmin Fenix 3 HR, which comes with a heart rate monitor. The Fenix 3 features Bluetooth capabilities and GPS tracking, as well as a compass, altimeter, barometer, and a number of other software features designed for analyzing exercise techniques and routines.
As they tend to do, later models outdate the Fenix 3, but this does not change the fact that the Fenix 3 released to favorable reviews and is significantly cheaper than the Fenix 3 HR.
Identification
The Garmin Fenix 3 smartwatch features a silver bezel and a black plastic watch strap. The Garmin logo is printed at the bottom of the watch face, and button labels such as Start/Stop, Back/Lap, Up, Down, and Light are stamped along the bezel. The model and serial numbers are printed on the bottom of the watch case.
