Background and Identification
The Canon EOS Rebel XSi camera is a DSLR model released in spring of 2008. The EOS Rebel XSi is known as the EOS 450D outside of North America and the EOS Kiss X2 in Japan. The new features on the Rebel XSi include Canon's EF-S 18-55mm, f3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens, and a 3 inch LCD screen on the back. The DIGIC image processor on this model allows for fast and accurate image processing, and an improved autofocus and framing rate comes standard with the Rebel XSi. The highly available SD/SDHC memory card provides easy access for image storage. The camera’s auto optimization setting assists users with shooting in less-than-perfect light conditions.
