Background
The Beats Studio 2 Wireless was introduced as a major upgrade to its predecessor. Beats by Dre released the headphones in 2013. They are designed to allow a user to listen to audio without the hassle of having to connect a pesky cable into the device that is transmitting the audio. The company realized that wired headphones can sometimes limit the enjoyment of a user. For example, you can’t listen to music from headphones in one room with your phone in another if you have wired headphones. Often, the cable is to short to be more than a few feet away from the device your headphones are connected to. So, Beats by Dre introduced the Beats Studio 2 Wireless, which are headphones that connect to devices via Bluetooth. While Bluetooth transmission only stretches so far in length, it offers a decisive advantage in distance compared to an average headphone wire. It’s worthy to note that the Beats Studio 2 Wireless was superseded by the Beats Studio 3 in September 2017.
Like any other technology, the Beats Studio 2 Wireless has some common issues that are most often easy to pinpoint. For example, you may sometimes find that your headphones won’t connect to your device via Bluetooth. You may also find electronic damage from a number of different factors. You may even find ear pad damage from wear and tear. However, these common issues are usually not too difficult to fix on your own.
Identification
Beats by Dre produces many different versions of headphones. So, it may seem daunting to figure out what version of headphones you have. However, it’s quite easy to figure out if you have the Beats Studio 2 Wireless. If you fully retract the right earphone, the model number of your headphones can be seen on the earphone. If your model number is B0501, then you have the Beats Studio 2 Wireless. The model number of your headphones can also be seen directly behind the left earphone.
