The Apple USB SuperDrive was a slot-loading DVD±RW (±R DL) external optical drive. This product can be traced back to MacBook Air SuperDrive, which was announced in 2008 and can only be used with a MacBook Air. In 2011, Apple rebranded it as "Apple USB SuperDrive". It's compatible with all Mac that without a built-in optical drive. It has a undetachable USB-A cable, can play and burn both CDs and DVDs. This device was discontinued in early August 2024.
