Background Information
The 2nd Generation Apple Pencil was designed for the iPad Pro (3rd Generation) and features magnetic charging, completely replacing the Lightning connector and cap featured in the 1st Generation. The new magnetic attachment also allows for easy pairing with tablets and storing when not in use. Additionally, the 2nd Generation Apple Pencil features new gesture controls.
