My Netbook Will Not Charge The Battery
No matter what you do, your netbook will not charge.
Faulty Electric Outlet
Make sure that the outlet that you are plugging your netbook into is functional. The netbook will not charge if it is not connected to a viable source of electricity.
Wrong Or Damaged A/C Adapter Or Power Cord
Make sure that the output values on the back of the AC adapter body match the input values on the back of your netbook (located near the serial barcode). If these values do not match, the battery will not be properly charged.
If the A/C adapter or power cord is damaged, then the netbook is not capable of being charged. You will need to buy a new one.
Note: Before taking your netbook apart, it would be worthwhile to try to turn it on by holding down the power button.
Broken Power Indicator Light
If the power indicator light does not glow green, then the netbook is not receiving charge from the charger. If this is the case, you will need to remove the battery and clean the contacts*, reinstall the battery, and charge for 12 hours before attempting to turn it on.
If the power indicator does glow green, but you are still not receiving power, you will need to replace the battery.
*Upon battery removal, there will be 4 metal tabs where the battery meets the computer body, ensure that these contacts are free from residue or other objects.

Faulty Charging Capabilities
Use the above steps to see if your netbook has power. If the battery is dead and it is not receiving power, then it will not turn on, no matter what you do unless you replace the damaged cords.
Toshiba Splash Screen Does Not Display
You will need repairs, which may or may not be covered over your warranty.
Operating System Does Not Start
Turn your netbook off, disconnect everything, and plug it into a working outlet. Then turn it on while holding F2 until the Firmware Page appears. If this page does not appear, then your netbook will need repairs.
If the firmware does not recognize your hard drive, you will need to purchase and install a new hard drive. Otherwise, reset the firmware to defaults and the Secure Boot Mode.
If your netbook display still does not work properly, you will need to complete a system recovery. After this step, if the netbook display is not working properly, you will need to replace your hard drive.
Hard drive replacement and system recovery are both covered in the User Guide at the bottom of this page.

Loose Cables
Check all the ethernet connections between the router and the modem. It is possible that loose or damaged wires are causing the network to appear unavailable.

My NB205 power light is green, battery light is red, on/off button is lit and small on/off indicator is green. By all indications it is on (but red battery light) but no sounds and nothing on screen. I tried pulling battery and holding on/off for a minute but no dice. Nothing happens
