Buttons not working
The buttons located on the steering wheel do not respond when pressed.
Faulty USB connection
Make sure the steering wheel set is plugged into the system and the USB cable is connected to the PC and the steering wheel is in the correct ports. Disconnect and ensure no dust or debris is causing a bad connection in the port.
Faulty button switches
The electrical switches behind the buttons can be faulty. They can be checked with a continuity meter which is an available function on digital multimeters.
The device is not connected properly to the console
Often a soft reset of the device can fix many issues stemming from a connection problem. The soft reset will clear the memory from the controller and fix the connection between the buttons on the device and the console.
Following these steps will reset your device:
- Step 1: Turn off Playstation
- Step 2: Make sure the Logitech G29 is connected to the console.
- Step 3: Turn on the Playstation in safe mode by pushing the power button and waiting for two separate sounds.
- Step 4: Scroll to rebuild the database. Click enter then click Ok. This will rebuild the database of the Playstation.
- Step 5: Start the Playstation like normal after this process is complete.
These steps should reset your device and allow it to function properly.

No feedback on the pedals
The pedals do not respond to input.
Faulty power connection
Make sure the pedal set is plugged into the system as well as a wall outlet. If there is no response after those two are complete check the power cord for any knicks or abrasions that may cause it not to work. If the power cord checks out make sure you are getting power from the wall outlet with a volt meter.
No connection to the system
Check to make sure the cord from the pedals to the system is connected. Once again check for any knicks on the cord to make sure it is making a connection. If the problem is still not fixed check prongs within the plugin to make sure it is making a good connection.
Internals
Lastly, if all else fails check internals such as the motherboard, pedal sensors, and all electrical within. If anything is loose or broken wire wise solder back together. If the motherboard or sensors is not good replace them with OEM parts.

Not connected to the gaming device ''''
Make sure that the cord going from the steering wheel hub to the gaming device is properly connected to the device's USB port. If the cord is plugged in properly then check to make sure the cord doesn’t have any damage such as knicks or tears.
Not connected to power
Make sure that the cord from the steering wheel hub is properly connected to the wall outlet. If properly connected to the device and wall outlet a led light on the top of the wheel hub should turn on. If no light turns on check for any damages on the cord.
Internals
If the led light is on and the car is still not steering then most likely there is an internal issue with the steering wheel such as the motherboard, force feedback motors, and all wires within the steering wheel hub. If there are any damages then replace the internals with the original parts.

The steering wheel on the G29 Driving Force is loose
The wheel itself is not properly fastened
Make sure the steering wheel is properly fastened by making sure all of the screws on the back of the steering wheel are tight as well as the ones in the center of the front of the steering wheel.
The steering wheel hub is not fastened
If all screws holding the wheel onto the hub are tight and the wheel is still wobbling check to see if the screws on the inside of the hub are properly tightened by disassembling the wheel and finding the two black screws on the top of the hub and the silver screws along the edge of the hub on the side of the steering wheel and making sure they are tight.
