Device Won't Power On

Your Levoit Core 300-RAC does not show any signs of powering on

Unplugged Device

Make sure your device is plugged into the outlet and power it on. If this does not work, try another outlet before proceeding further.

Power Cord Failure

If your device is plugged into a functioning outlet and is not turning on, look at your device's power cord. If you see exposed wires or your cord looks frayed and damaged, turn off the device and carefully unplug it from the outlet. You can follow this guide to assist you in replacing your device's power cord.

Power Board Failure

If you are plugged into a functioning outlet and your power cord is in good shape, your device's power board has failed. In this case, you must replace the power board to repair the device. You can use this guide to assist you in your repair.

Unresponsive Control Panel

Your Levoit Core 300-RAC is no longer accepting input on the control panel.

Unplugged Device

There are no indicator lights for you to know if your device is plugged in. Make sure your device is plugged in and hit the power button.

Damaged Touchscreen Face

Your device's touchscreen face could be worn, making it difficult to pick up on your touch inputs. In this case we recommend replacing your control panel face.

Control Board Failure

The top of the device contains a small circuit board to operate the touchscreen and process user input. If the indicator lights seem to function, but the device is unresponsive, then it's possible a fault or damage has occurred to this board. If the button face is in good condition, use the control board replacement guide to help you swap out the faulty circuit board.

Power Board Failure

There is a dedicated circuit board inside the Levoit Core-300 RAC that routes power from a wall socket to the fan and control board. If the device is plugged in, but there's no sign of it functioning, then it's likely this board is damaged in some way. Therefore, we recommend replacing your device's power board. You can use this guide to assist you in your replacement.

Not Outputting Enough Air

Your Levoit Core 300-RAC is not blowing enough air

Incorrect Fan Mode

Your Levoit Core 300-RAC has four main fan modes. The moon indicates a night mode on your touchscreen; this mode keeps the fan running quietly. Then you have levels 1 to 3 indicated by 1, 2, or 3 lines, respectively. If you want the most output, then select level 3.

Filter is Still in its Packaging

Your device's air filters come in plastic packaging to protect it until it is ready to be installed. Make sure the packaging is removed to have unobstructed airflow through the filter. Checking this is just like replacing the filter.

Filter is Dirty or Clogged

If your device is not outputting enough air, you want to check your filter and clean it. You may use a vacuum with a soft bristle brush attachment to remove excess dust. DO NOT use water to clean your filter, as that can lead to mold growth. Cleaning your filter can extend its lifetime, but it will not restore it to its original effectiveness.

Filter Needs to be Replaced

Filters are meant to fill up with dust and air particles, it's how they work. If there's not enough air flowing through the filter, then it may be time to replace it. Follow this guide to see how.

Fan Blade Assembly Not Torqued

Your device's fan blade assembly is held in the housing by a 13mm nut. Make sure this nut is tight and hasn't loosened over time.

Damaged Fan Blade Assembly

If your fan blades look chipped, broken, or damaged in any way, this affects your device's efficiency and output. We recommend replacing the fan blade assembly. You can follow this guide to assist you.

Failing Motor

If your device is not outputting enough air, your motor could be failing. This would result in your air purifier's fan not spinning at the intended speed, thus reducing the air output. You can use this guide to help you replace your device's motor.

Fan Has Stopped Spinning

Fan Blade Assembly Not Torqued

Your device's fan blade assembly is held in the housing by a 13mm nut. Make sure this nut is tight and hasn't loosened over time.

Damaged Fan Blade Assembly

Your fan blades may be worn and no longer move air at sufficient speed. In this case, we recommend replacing your fan blade assembly. You can use this guide to assist you.

Motor Failure

If your device's fan blades are not spinning, the motor that drives your fans has failed. You can use this guide to assist you in replacing your motor.

Power Board Failure

If your fan is bolted down properly and still not spinning, the power board controlling your fan has failed. In this case, to repair the device, you must replace it. This guide will help you in your repair.

Unusual Sound

Your Levoit Core 300-RAC is making an unusual noise

Foreign Object Has Fallen Into The Device

If you can hear a clattering sound when you turn on your air purifier, something has fallen in. In this case, turn off your device, open it, and check and clear any foreign objects.

Bearings Need Greasing

If your device is chirping while turned on, your fan's bearings could use some grease. Take your device apart and get to the fan. Then, use some WD-40 or whatever electrically safe oil you have handy to grease the bearings.

Unusual Smell

Filter is Clogged, Full, or Growing Mold

If your air purifier's air starts to smell musty, it is time to replace your air filter. You can follow this guide to assist you.

Air Purifier is in an Unventilated Area

If you keep your air purifier in a dusty area that is poorly ventilated, your filter will become saturated with dust, and your device will not be able to filter the air properly. Try introducing more ventilation by opening a window or door.

Electrical Fault

If you have a burning smell coming from your device, turn it off and unplug it immediately. Your device has two main electrical components: the power board and the control board. Please inspect these two for any burns. If they are faulty, you can use our power board replacement guide or our control board replacement guide to help you fix your device.

Red Filter Status Light Won't Turn Off

Your Levoit Core 300-RAC's filter status light will not turn off

The Air Filter is Full

When your Levoit Core 300-RACs' red filter light is on, it is time to replace it. You can use this guide to assist you with your replacement. We recommend purchasing your replacement filter directly from Levoit, as customers have had the filter replacement light stay on after replacing the filter with a non-original filter.
