If your Lenovo Thinkpad L14 Gen 2 is not turning on, follow this page for solutions.
Due to the sensitive nature of electronic components, be sure to wear an electromagnetic wrist band or ground yourself by touching metal to avoid electrostatic discharge. Electrostatic discharge can fry your motherboard and make your computer not turn on.
Faulty RAM
Because laptops can usually power on without a battery when plugged in, this issue may be related to the memory. To test this, remove one memory module at a time.
Power off the computer. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the nine M2 × 7 mm screws, then slide a blue opening pick around the edges to release and remove the back panel. To remove a memory module, pull the metal clips outward until the module pops up, then lift it out by the edges. Reinstall the back panel, secure the screws, and try powering on the computer.
If it still doesn’t turn on, reinstall the first module and repeat the process with the other one. To reinstall a memory module, insert it at about a 22.5° angle with the gold contacts fully seated, then press down gently until the clips snap into place.
