Device Keeps Shutting Off
The laptop will regularly shut off despite being fully charged
Low Battery Power
Ensure that the battery of your laptop is charged. You can check the battery level in the lower right hand corner of your device's screen. If the device is entirely unresponsive, try using the charging cord to charge the battery.
Faulty Battery
A faulty battery could prevent the device from functioning properly. Old or overused batteries may no longer hold a charge. The battery itself may be the issue. Replacing or repairing the laptop’s battery may solve the issue. To replace the faulty battery, refer to the battery replacement guide.
Device Will Not Turn On
The device does not power up
Device isn't charged
Ensure that the battery of your laptop is charged. You can check the battery level in the lower right hand corner of your device's screen. If the device is entirely unresponsive, try using the charging cord to charge the battery.
Faulty Battery

Faulty Motherboard
The Motherboard is “brain” of the computer that allows each component of the computer to properly function. If the device does not power up after attempts to charge it, then the motherboard most likely needs to be replaced. To replace the motherboard, refer to the motherboard replacement guide.
Screen is Distorted
The screen glitches in various places on the display of the computer.
Disabled Display
By pressing the “FN” and “F2” keys simultaneously, the user will be able re-enable the display of the computer. If this does not fix the screen glitching, then the screen needs to be replaced.
If the previous action does not fix the display, try to repeat, and push the “Windows” or “Google” key. Once you have done so, push the “P” button twice. This will change the display to “Computer Only” from “Projector Mode.”
Faulty Display
If the previous method did not fix the glitching, the screen will need to be replaced. To replace the display screen, refer to the display screen replacement guide.
Documents/Pictures Will Not Save
Documents and pictures will not save to laptop.
Hard Drive or SSD Issue
Most likely, the issue is coming from the hard drive or SSD. By opening the bottom of the laptop, the user will be able to repair/replace the hard drive in order to save future documents/pictures.
Blue Screen of Death
The laptop’s display is filled with a solid blue screen.
Overheating
The Blue Screen of Death may be a cause of overheating. Try to place the computer near a fan or apply thermal paste under the heatsink or CPU.
Lack of RAM
Computer crashes are caused by a decrease of RAM in the user’s computer. By installing or replacing the RAM, the user should be able to prevent the Blue Screen of Death.
The Touchpad Will Not Move the Mouse
The touchpad will not move the mouse when touched.
The Touchpad is Dirty
If your touchpad will not respond to touch then it may be dirty. To clean the touchpad, use a soft cloth with water or rubbing alcohol to gently remove the dirt.
The Touchpad Has a Minor Malfunction
If your touchpad will not respond to touch there may be a minor malfunction with the laptop. To correct the minor malfunction, turn your laptop off and then turn the device back on again.
The Laptop Needs to be Reset
Your laptop may need to be reset for the touchpad to function properly. To reset your laptop, turn the laptop off. When the laptop is turned off, hold the refresh button on your keyboard and press the power button to turn the device on again. Once the device powers on, let go of the refresh button and see if the touchpad will respond.
Damaged Touchpad
If your touchpad will not respond it may be damaged. To replace your damaged touchpad, refer to the touchpad replacement guide.
The Keyboard is Unresponsive
The keyboard or key(s) will not type when touched.
Dirty Keys
If individual keys or the keyboard will not respond, they may be dirty. To clean the keys, use a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol to remove the dirt.
Damaged Keys
If multiple keys on the keyboard will not respond, your keyboard may be damaged. To replace the keyboard, refer to the keyboard replacement guide.
