Power Will Not Turn On

Keyboard is unresponsive and will not turn on.

Batteries Must Be Replaced

If your piano is running on battery, the batteries may be put in incorrectly or dead. Replace them with this guide.

AC Adaptor Not Plugged in Fully

The AC adaptor may be incorrectly plugged into an outlet or the keyboard. Make sure that the AC adaptor is plugged in completely to the back of the keyboard's DC 9.5 V terminal that is labeled "DC 9.5V", and located between the "PHONES/OUTPUT" and "MIC IN/SAMPLING" ports. Additionally, make sure to fully plug the AC adaptor into a wall outlet. Try plugging the adaptor into another outlet if the first one does not work.

Damaged Power Supply

Check if there is any damage to the power cord such as visible wires or frayed plastic from winding or bending the cord. If the cord is plugged in completely to the DC 9.5 V terminal and has no visible damage, it may have internal damage or be faulty, thus needing to be replaced. New power supplies can be found at your nearest music store or online.

Sound Will Not Play Correctly

Sound does not come out properly or at all.

Volume is Off or Headphones Plugged In

Ensure that there is nothing plugged into the black circular PHONES/OUTPUT (or headphone) terminal which is located on the back of the keyboard next to the "DC 9.5V" terminal. If not, then you may need to adjust the volume setting using the black volume slider located next to power button. If the sound still does not work, try turning the power off then back on again.

Faulty Speakers

If the above solutions do not work, the large black rectangular speakers located above the keys, may be faulty and need to be replaced with this guide.

Computer Connection Will Not Work

Keyboard will not interact with the computer.

Not Fully Plugged In

USB cable may not be completely plugged into each device. Try plugging the cable into another USB port on the computer, or try replugging the USB cable back into the black square USB port located on the back of the keyboard next to the "SUSTAIN" terminal.

Software Needs to be Restarted

Try turning off the keyboard and exiting the music software by pressing the "X" button to close the software. Turn the keyboard back on and restart the music software by double clicking on the software's icon.

Keys Are Unresponsive

No sound plays when white or black keys are pressed, or sounds do not come out of the speakers correctly.

Keys are Jammed

Check if anything is stuck between the long white keys or the smaller black keys that would block them from being pushed down. If there is an object lodged between the keys, try to use your fingers to dislodge it. If nothing can be seen, it may be an internal issue, and the keys that are jammed must be replaced by following this repair guide.

System Limitations

There is a maximum value of 48 tones that can be played at once. No more than four keys may be lit up at once. Stop pressing more than 4 keys at once

Display Will Not Turn On

Display fails to turn on or blinks.

Battery Running Out

If the display fails to turn on or is blinking, the batteries may be put in incorrectly or dead. Replace them with this guide.

Display is Damaged

If the display located in the center of the keypad refuses to turn on or does not show anything visible on the screen, it may need to be replaced by following these steps.

Buttons Are Unresponsive

Black buttons located above the keys do not work or respond when pushed down.

Jammed Buttons

Check for any items stuck on the sides of the buttons, preventing them from being pressed down. Remove anything that is found using your fingers or a small screwdriver.

Damaged Buttons

If the buttons still do not respond when pressed, there may an internal issue, and the buttons must be replaced through the use of this repair guide.

Some keys will not respond but they are not damaged or stuck. Other keys will work but along side pressing them other keys will play there tone and light up while I'm only pressing on one.

I bought my son a Casio lk 100 keyboard on reverb. It came with old batteries in it that seemed to have leaked. Looks like it has not been played in a long time as there were spider webs on it! there was no power supply chord. The keyboard will not turn on with new batteries. Should I invest another 9.00 in a new power supply chord to see if it works? We are traveling and away for over a month and my little guy is missing his piano playing and lessons?

What if it just keeps turning off for no reason or if it turns off when the volume is high and I press a key on the keyboard

My piano won’t stay on for long! I press the power button but then it will stay on for a short period of time. Then I’ll turn it on but I’ll play a couple keys and it turns off or I’ll press one key and there is a static sound and it all becomes unresponsive. Maybe it’s because I have had this piano for years but it just started acting weird, no one touched it but me.
