Power Button Issues
The power button not functioning
Power button filled with dust
Consistent usage of the device leads to dust particles crowding around the power button. The solution is applying rubbing alcohol to a Q-Tip and swabbing around the button area.
Power button not turning on device
Sometimes, the power button may not be fully pressed enough, make sure you press and hold for a minimum of 3 seconds.
Faulty power chords
If none of the solutions above seem to fix the power button, try checking the power source (outlet or power cable) of the device. Inspect the power cable for any damaged or frayed wires. Replace if necessary.
Overheating
Device feels hot and making loud noise
Dust inside the fan
If there is dust inside the fan, the projector will start to overheat, causing loud noises from the fan. The projector will shut down here and there to protect its internal components. The problem may likely be the fan and will need a replacement. Replace the fan using this guide
High room temperatures
High room temperatures around the projector may also be a cause for overheating. Try putting your projector in an environment that does not have direct sunlight coming on it.
Display is blurry or distorted
The image being displayed is blurry or being shown in an unusual way
Lens is cracked or damaged
If the display of the projector appears to be blurry or does not appear properly, then the lens provided could possibly be damaged in a way that affects its performance. If the lens is damaged, then the lens will likely need to be replaced to restore the display to a working state.
Display is out of focus
The AuKing M8-F uses two dials found on top of its lens to adjust the display of the projector. One such dial found is the focus dial which can be turned to adjust the display to fit the distance you need.
Display is distorted in a certain direction
Keystone correction allows for a projector to be adjusted to correct display distortion that goes in a certain direction. While some projectors do this automatically, the AuKing M8-F provides a scroll wheel to adjust the distortion manually. To fix the distortion, simply turn the dial left or right depending on your needed correction.
Image is discolored
The image seems to be tarnished
Polarizing plates are out
If the polarizing plates are out, the projector should project a red, yellow, blue, or purple tent over the display. This will have to be replaced to get rid of the colored tint.
Device not displaying light
Screen is not working
Plug connection is loose
If no images are being displayed, check to see if the plug connection is loose. Your cable should be securely connected to the inputs of the projector.
Incorrect port
If you're still not seeing any light, check to see if the input you are using is the correct port.
