Force Restart

If you have tried turning your device on and off with no luck, try force restarting your watch. Start by pressing and holding both the side button and Digital Crown for around 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Loose Display Cable

It is possible that the display cable may have lifted off its connector socket due to drops or during a repair process. Be sure to follow a guide on your specific watch and go through the process of making sure all cables are connected correctly.
