1 LCD Cable replacement + backlight bleed
Hi,
I’m repairing the hinges on my MSI Raider GE76 12UGS (240Hz), and when I opened it up I noticed the LCD cable was broken. Part of the label has come off, but I can still read most of the serial number: K1N3040299H5800... (if this even is the actual s/n)
The MSI store doesn’t seem to sell this cable anymore. They do list one with a different s/n: (K1N-3040305-H58) and say it’s compatible with the Raider GE76 12UGS. Would that cable work as a replacement for mine?
I also have a second issue. The backlight is starting to slightly separate from the LCD panel, and some of the tape around the edges is peeling off, so light has been bleeding through at the edges for quite a bit. I’d like to fix this if possible, but I’m not sure what kind of tape or foil is used around the edges of the screen.
