A robotic vacuum cleaner is a device that uses automated technology to clean floors. It uses sensors and algorithms to navigate around obstacles and furniture, suctioning up dirt and debris.

im going crazy help requested

i bought this vacuum https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DR8NJMCJ?ref... ECOVACS DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI Robot Vacuum 1 year ago.

recently the main brush motor stopped spinning so i opened it up to replace the motor. i have now bought 3 different replacement motors that say they are for the T8 or 8x. but none of them fit correctly. i have searched like crazy but can not for the life of my find my motor anywhere online. (pictures below) am i crazy? are these no longer in production? is one of the other motors supposed to fit even though the L shape is wrong? your wisdom is appreciated.

Update (06/18/26)

ok so with some inspiration from oldturkey03 i think im close. im going to walk through what i did if anyone else is ballzie enough to try this.

so i decided i was going to transfer the old L drive shaft to the new motor. i started by unclipping the snaps around the perimeter (picture1).

Block Image

once inside i cleaned all the gears as they were very full of dirty grease (picture2).

Block Image

i then removed the two screws on the left side of the image (picture3) (this is where the motor attaches) and screwed in the new motor.

Block Image

but as i put it back together i realized that the gear attached to the new motor was beveled to the left but all the old gears were beveled to the right! so i pried the motor gear off of the old motor and transferred it to the new one. (be careful when prying off it toke a lot of force and mine ended up half way across the room in my white shag carpet. much cussing ensued.)

ive got all the pieces together and clean now i guess the last thing i need is to figure out what kind of lubricant to use on the gears. any ideas?

@kindle77615 the motor in your image, is that the one you need or one of the ones that does not fit. Your motor number is XCR380SH21140 which shows something like this.

That would mean that he same motor was used with a different plastic "transmission" which is of course entirely possible. If you can (and if there is) post an image of the model number tag (shield) which should be on your Ecovacs casing somewhere, with your question as well.

Not sure if it is possible but take a look at your "transmission" and see if the motor could be removed and subsequently be replaced with one from those that doesn't fit right. Currently it does not look like there is a brush motor for the X8Pro available anywhere. Most likely since it is still pretty new and considered the Flagship. I wonder if Ecovacs is hanging on to those motors for now.

thank you! this is a great idea. ive got the deebot in a thousand pieces on my floor what difference would it make to have one more. im going to try separating the L drive shaft from the motor and see if i can just replace the motor and use the old drive shaft!

@kindle77615 hope it works out. Take pictures while you do that so you can inform us later on how to fix this "beast". In the meantime, we'll continue to find the proper motor somewhere.
