Computer not turning on

I tried repairing my screen myself. It seemed like I did everything fine but when I got to the part where I put back the battery flex cable, I realized that i did not unwatchable it before pulling it out. The computer is not charging or turning on (rightfully so). Could this cable cause this to happen? Will replacing it help or have i messed up the connector?

I attached a vouple of pictures. Theyre they best i could do. Nothing looks damaged to my eyes but...

It's not that uncommon what the cable gets damaged the system won't start. It's also possible the ZIF connector compression latch is not correctly set. Can you post a nice clear pictures of the connectors (both sides) so we can see them and the cable as tight as you can (may need to add a bit of light).

If you want to get the cable ordered if it looks ratty or damaged here's the needed part BMU Flex Cable from TheBookYard in the UK

@ophevan - The cable looks a bit rough, but one of the latches looks like it’s not fully clipped (lopsided) see if can reseat it.
