I had my laptop sent to a repair shop and they returned it fixed, so i turned it off to get dinner and when i returned, it doesn't connect to the monitor. I used an external monitor and i saw that it only scanned my external monitor and not the laptop monitor. Is this somewhat a broken connection or just a loose port? HP 15s-du2034tx

It might be a loose connection on the motherboard maybe the repair shop didn't route the display cable properly causing it to disconnect when the laptop is being opened and closed. Try opening the back plate and see if there is any loose connection if not check if the screen is Bron broken by flashing lights on it to see if there are cracks also check If it didn't get wet.

There may be an issue with How multiple screens are set up.
Try pressing windows key + P key to open the windows project menu and ensure it is set to duplicate or extend (whichever is your preference)

Do you mean that nothing is shown on the laptop screen, only an external monitor, or when the external moniter is plugged in it only shows on that, not the laptop screen?

@bananakat12345 The laptop monitor is no longer read by the device, when i check in settings on display. Only the external monitor is found

Also Idk if this helps but, on rare occasions, when i boot the laptop up, the laptop monitor and the external monitor lights up showing a glitching display, like a broken tv display of rapid movements, usually pinkish in color. And after i restart the laptop, everything goes back to normal, and the laptop monitor is once again, not read/scanned by the laptop, only the external one
