My phone started getting very sluggish and force close everything. It also will not hold a charge. I have tried taking the battery out and restarting the phone but I don't know what else to do. People say they have tried calling and texting me but I have not received anything and when I do I can't answer a call or text back it will force close or act like I ignored the call.

Take out battery and blow on it. Then leave the battery out and phone off for 1-3 hours. If it still does not work, try getting to settings and removing apps. Hope this helps :)

try to software update it to the latest version to fix the bugs

this will wipe your phone (apps contacts, but not the sd card)
after this it will work fine again
