How does the power button work

I know this is an old question, but from my experience working on these devices I may be able to provide some insights here.
The switch serves two functions; first, it exposes either two or three air holes that control how much air enters the vaporizer chamber.
Secondly, it enables power to the circuit that turns on the heating element. The switch doesn't directly power the heating coils; rather the microprocessor I assume is present turns on one of the heating elements (in the first position), or both of them in the Pulse setting. This happens when the built in microphone detects airflow through the tube running from the top to the bottom of the vape.
