For some reason you only have hot water actually entering the valves on the back of the washer. Usually it ends up either someone having turned of the cold water at the valve in the wall or where the hoses screw into the washer there is a small screen filter inside the inlet hole that is stopped up. Simple turn off all water hot and cold at the cutoff valves at the wall, unscrew in this case the cold water line and use tweezers or hemostats and pull the filter out of the hole where the cold water attaches to the machine clean it good and reinstall everything and try it out.

Yes, of course. I verified, turned off, and cleaned both filters; there was some sand inside the filter. I also tried to turn off completely the hot water and start the machine, and it still uses hot water. I used a bucket 🪣 to get some water and tested both connected hoses have water cold and hot. And it still uses hot water when I choose to wash with cold or tap water. How is this possible? I have no idea 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi @firuzvento

Here's the tech sheet for the washer.

Wonder if there's a problem with the Automatic Temperature Control. See Test #5 on p.5

Alternatively run the automatic diagnostic tests and check if any error codes are shown, - see p.1. The error codes are shown on p.3-p.4.

If you find the problem and it is a faulty part that needs replacing, here's a parts list that is useful, as the manufacturer's part number is shown with the part. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best,.

Yes, i think you are correct problem is with Automatic Temperature Control. What part i need to replace it? Is it inlet valve? It is one big inlet valve both cold and hot in one unit.

I have looked up online and I cannot find this part on my washer “Automatic Temperature Control” can you please help with the part number? Thank you so much much

@firuzvento

The Automatic Temperature Control is not a separate component but is part of the control board (p/n W10583051) - see p.6 Removing the Machine/Motor Control Assembly

That's frustrating! If your washer is only using hot water even when you select cold, there are a few possible causes:

1. Faulty temperature selector switch: The switch that controls the water temperature might be stuck or broken.

2. Faulty thermostat: The thermostat that regulates water temperature might be malfunctioning.

3. Faulty water inlet valve: The valve that controls water flow might be clogged or stuck, preventing cold water from entering.

4. Incorrect installation: The washer might have been installed incorrectly, causing the water connections to be reversed.

5. Scale buildup: Mineral deposits might have accumulated in the water inlet valves or pipes, blocking cold water flow.

To troubleshoot, you can try:

1. Checking the temperature selector switch for any signs of damage or wear.

2. Ensuring the water inlet hoses are securely connected and not reversed.

3. Checking the washer's manual for any specific instructions on temperature settings.

4. Running a cleaning cycle or cleaning the washer's interior to remove any scale buildup.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's likely a more serious problem that requires professional assistance from an appliance repair technician.
