Spilt water on laptop

For now you want to stop continuing to try to charge it or to turn it on. This potentially can make a bad situation worse.This may further damage your laptop.

The next thing to do is to clean it. Disassemble your Acer using something like this video. Remove the motherboard. Then you must remove the heatsink/fans etc. from your motherboard. If there are any EMI shields on it, you must remove those. After you remove those, clean the whole board, connectors and all with +90% isopropyl alcohol. While you clean your board, check for any obvious damage, like burned or missing components etc. If you have questions about a specific area or a specific part, post a couple of good pictures of it, with your Question.
