I saw on ebay a US version for the m1 mbpro and was wondering if it can actually be swapped out from a different version. I have french keyboard but would like to know if it can be switched out and if it would work fine no restrictions in serial or anything like that.
i didnt see a guide on it here not even if the current one broke guessing because it would require a full disassembly

As far I know this keyboard replacement should work fine with no problems
However…
This repair is not fun at all(painful if your not careful)
On these newer machines the keyboards are riveted into the top case making them incredibly hard to replace but it Is possible but I would watch this video first
It’s not on your model but the procedure of removing the riveted keyboard is the same

This video make it look easier than it actually is but I can assure you it is a lot harder and needs to be done by a professional so what I would to is get a set of key stickers that translate into English that way you don’t have to suffer this repair

Once you have applied the stickers you can change your keyboard language by folowing this video

Or you could replace every key on the keyboard however this is extremely expensive and can break while being installed
