My Fitbit versa is Almost 2 years old and isn’t charging on the dock? Why?

Here's a link to Fitbit; https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/H.... Procedures include checking and cleaning watch contacts of debris and when charging begins, the screen should turn on with battery charging stats.
