Hey everyone.. my daughter stepped on the dishwasher door and now when I close and turn the latch it will not come on..but when I press real hard on the washers door it will come on and begin the cycle..could it be a pressure plate??

Jarvis Cooper sounds like it may be bend enough on the niges that the door latch does not properly engage until you push it harder. See if you can do some adjustments on the hinges to realign the door. Let us know the model for your DW, maybe we can find more info about that.
