Sitting in lounge room and fan every now and again will make a tiny like sound.
Fan/light is off

Is this shortly after the fan or light has been in use or at anytime?
Do the fan blades try to move when the sound occurs?
Does it make this sound when the fan/light is in operation?
Is it a "metallic" sound or a "buzzing" sound?
If buzzing, have you checked that there is nothing trapped e.g. insect, in the light fitting?
Are you certain that it is coming from the fan?
