I also have this problem, Samsung don't want to know. They just say take it to my local service centre who are quoting £500.

@dean.barb925 did you want more info on this or are you okay with what Samsung told you? If so post a new question https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/Ask and add a couple of good pictures to your Question so we can see what your screen displays. Aggiungere immagini ad una domanda

bakhtiyar.badar  that will depend on what these dark spots look like. It is possible that this is a bad backlight array, LED covers that have come off or a bad signal etc.. Remove the TV from power by unplugging the TV. Remove all video inputs. Hold down the power button for 30-60 seconds. After that connect the power to an outlet and use one local video source(i.e. DVD/BR player) and try to turn your TV on. Let us know what you get. You can always post some images of what your TV shows with your question. That way we can see what you see. Aggiungere immagini ad una domanda

more than likely the LCD panel is going bad. I came across one tv the a ribbon cable wasn't in all the way but there was a dark part of the tv about inches going top to bottom. Pinch the bezel a few times around where the dark spots are on the top or bottom. if they move then you have a loose connection..if they don't move and they are getting bigger it's a bad panel.

I did a factory reset. That got rid of my shadows on my Samsung tv . It shouldn’t be happening on a 1 year old tv!

I have a similar issue with a TCL led tv where the dark spots appear like cloudy spots over the screen. At first I thought it was a visual affect of the show I was watching but as it turned out it wasn't. I have been able to correct this issue by powering down the tv (but not unplugging it) but after some time the cloudy spots will return. The best way to explain how it looks is its as if you are viewing the picture through a partially cloudy day. The cloudy portions are more visible with a dark screen but are there during a light screen just not as visible. Also for context this tv is on constantly, hardly being powered down at all but is kept updated software wise. This isn't a high quality tv and has never been the greatest when it comes to contrast during dark scenes. I would like to find out the root cause for my inquiring mind.

@tim64670 it is possible that this is a delaminating panel. You may have to consider disassembling the npanel and checking the diffuser sheets as well as teh polarizers and check those for any damage. Let us know if you are deciding to do so. We can always try and help you with that.
