Change the aspect ratio?

My Vizio television blocks off some of the picture. I’ve gone into the menu and no option to change this appears. Pressing the wide button on the remote cycles through two options, wide and zoom. Wide is what I currently use and zoom gets rid of even more of the picture. This happens on both my Xbox one and Amazon fire stick, both on HDMI. Is there any way to fix this?

(Model number is VX37L HDTV10A)

@ashrd01 does the same thing happen with regular TV, DVD etc?

@oldturkey03 Any other input does not let me change the the widescreen or zoom at all, but it doesn’t cut off any of the picture. Only when things are in the HDMI input it is crops the picture.

Have you tried to "reset" the TV back to default settings?

DTV / TV Input Special Features > reset all settings.

Alternatively perform a power refresh.

Turn off TV, switch off wall outlet and unplug TV cord.

Press and hold TV power button for 30 seconds to dissipate any residual power in TV.

Plug in TV power cord and switch on wall outlet.

Switch on TV.

Has it worked OK before using the setup you describe?
