Door difficult to pull open
Microwave door difficult to pull open. Is it a hinge problem or a latch problem?

@sirjeff unless the door is loose and sagging after it is open, this is most likely a door latch issue. If you let us know what model your MW is we can check for more information.

Had the same hard opening issue
Solved by removing the door from the hinges and gently bending the top and bottom hinge upward a little bit so that the 1/8 inch sag was eliminated on the right hand side of the door - opposite the hinges
The door never closed and opened easier!! 😉❤️

Does it swing freely after it is open?

I have a Kenmore Elite Microwave and it is hard to open due to the Sagging. The top round portion of the hinge pivoting on the round piece like a rivot is worn flat to the middle of the round piece on one side and has actually started to bend due to the weight of the door. I do not see a way to remove that piece from the upper portion of the door

I'm not sure but the whole door drops down about an eighth of an inch so I'm torn between hinges and latch do hinges drop so latch holds?door is hard to pull open
