SD Card slot issue

The SD card will not stay in the slot. It no longer clicks into place. Has anyone ever repaired/replaced this part?

JillEMoody , Check the video link below, you may have a small piece of debri inside the SD slot not allowing card pin to lock in card. If you do probe inside the slot be careful not to damage any of the readers contacts(very delicate). Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Thanks, but I think the spring is the issue. There's nothing in the port, and when I press the lever with a screwdriver it doesn't latch. Looks like I'm going to have fun taking the camera apart to see if I can find the broken spring.

Using my cell phone to light up and zoom in was useful.

What an amazing piece of advise, even I could understand it & I hope it helps me fix the camera, but I need the right sized screwdriver cos Philips screws were made to frustrate people like me.

It sounds as if you are putting the card in upside down. Try flipping it around. I hope this helps.

No, that's not the problem. You can't put the card in upside down in this camera, it doesn't fit that way. When I press down the card, it pops right back up. I've tried two cards, but neither will stay inserted.

Thanks, anyway.

Hmmm... The spring that holds it in must have been knocked out of place. Try opening the camera up and taking look.

Yes, that seems to be the issue. Thanks.

Good. I'm glad I could be of help.
