Touch screen not working properly (odd)

Hey!

Today I tried to unlock my phone and the touch screen is not working.

I can turn on my phone's screen, but i can't enter my code as the touch screen is not responding at all.

The funny thing is that my phone has the feature where i can enter the knock-knock code while the screen is turned off and it enters. I did that and it works. I can open my phone that way, but after that, the touch screen is still not responding at all. All the other features like knocking twice on the screen to turn it on works also. The touchscreen works, but in an odd way. Can't do a restart as well... obvious reasons and the battery is built inside the device so i can't remove it.

The device did not fall, get wet or anything else. It was just in my pocket while I was in the class.

TL;DR

My phone's touchscreen only works when the screen is turned off.
