What can I use to stick back together the mouse?

I disassembled the mouse to fix the bent aluminum from dropping it and it works, but sticking the bottom part to the plastic battery tray is hard. What is strong enough to hold the plastic and alunium together?

Do you mean the entire bottom panel, or the battery cover? Refer to the Magic Mouse teardown guide and tell us which step number illustrates the part you're trying to reassemble. Step 3 or Step 6?

The battery cover is OK, what I meant is the bottom panel https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/ig...

step 6

After cleaning off the old glue from both sides I would recommend just using hot glue as it's fast give it a good 15 min and it's done.

If you don't have access to a glue gun then a few dabs of clear silicon adhesive will do but you'll need to use a few rubber bands to hold the parts together to setup for a good 24 hrs.

8 years late, but use super glue, silicone and hot glue are to thick, the button on the bottom will be loose.

Source: Me trying all three options.

Be careful! Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) is great stuff! But it’s sometimes not the best thing, like spanning across a gap and not flexible, and won’t adhere to some plastics. As it’s so runny it can travel gluing something you didn’t want to glue. The ideal place for Cyano is when you have matching surface edge.

I prefer using the Gel versions and use an excelerator and if I need to span a gap I use a filler powder.

In this case the outer shell to frame is not the best place for Cyano, here we want something the has a bit of flex. The battery lid catch shouldn’t need gluing as it intended to have a spring action (the older removable battery version). The latch is a urethane plastic which most glues won’t stick to. So if the spring action is not working there’s little you can do.
