    • Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the screws in the front plates (behind the motherboard) to separate the plates from each other.

    • Detach the PCB with the microphones from the plastic.

    • Using a soldering iron, desolder the microphones from the PCB.

    • Follow the IFixit soldering instructions for tips on desoldering to avoid burning yourself or damaging the device.
