Background and Identification
This is an infant flow SiPap system that raises the bar for neonatal noninvasive ventilation. This device has been successfully, clinically proven among patients worldwide. It comes with a patented generator technology that is safe and versatile while offering advanced noninvasive treatment options (especially geared toward infants). “Nasal CPAP (nCPAP) is a constant, stable, single level os positive pressure to the infant’s airways; facilitating the restoration of functional residual capacity and the correction of hypoxemia.” (Viasys Infant Flow SiPAP Brochure)
The Viasys Infant Flow SiPap Ventilator is colored gray with a light blue plastic casing. It has an advanced monitoring screen system (4.4'“x 3.3”) with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. This device can be distinguished by the large “%O2” knob that rests in the middle of the device right above the CareFusion logo.
