Steam Machine (2nd Generation) Repair

Announced on November 12, 2025, alongside the Second Generation Steam Controller and the Steam Frame, the Second Generation Steam Machine is a compact Linux based PC designed to offer an accessible, console-like gaming experience built on SteamOS. The new Steam Machine features a Semi-Custom AMD Zen 4 CPU and RDNA-3 GPU, which offers more than 6 times the performance power of the Steam Deck. With living-room gaming in mind, the Steam Machine supports 4K at 60 FPS with FSR Upscaling.

The Steam Machine will be offered in either a 512 GB or a 2 TB SSD option; however, both will have expandable storage via a High-speed MicroSD Card Slot. In addition, users can customize the LED status strip or disable it entirely, and can swap out the front plate. Valve intends to ship globally in early 2026, with base prices expected to be closer to the cost of a PC, but it is predicted to be priced between $400 - $600 USD.
