Il MacBook è il laptop Apple più difficile da identificare. Mentre i MacBook Air e i MacBook Unibody sono facili da distinguere, i MacBook in plastica non lo sono affatto. Purtroppo, Apple ha stampato lo stesso numero modello su tutte le macchine, senza tener conto delle rispettive configurazioni interne. == Storia del modello ==

Dopo oltre due anni e numerosi aggiornamenti incrementale, Apple annunciò un modello MacBook completamente nuovo nell'ottobre 2008, il MacBook Unibody. Il MacBook Unibody è un ibrido fra il MacBook originale il MacBook Air: integra tutte le caratteristiche del MacBook in una scocca in alluminio più elegante e leggera.
