Background and Identification
The Canon Powershot G16 is a compact point and shoot with a 12.1 megapixel 1/1.7" high-sensitivity CMOS sensor capable of capturing still images and 1080p HD video. The built-in lens is able to cover a focal range of 28-140mm and has a maximum aperture of 1.8-2.8 to aid in low light situations. It features an 3” LCD screen in addition to an optical viewfinder to take and view images.
The camera is easily identified by the G16 label on the bottom left of the front of the camera. The G16 differs from previous Canon models, such as the G15, by offering built-in WiFi to allow for wireless image transferring.
