Unresponsive Screen

Screen is not responding to touch or stylus when in use.

Tablet Battery Dead

If the screen is unresponsive, your device's battery may need to be charged. Plug-in the device using a mini USB charger and see if the screen responds afterward.

Software Overloaded

If the screen is unresponsive, you may have too many applications running. Power cycle the device by holding the power button on the bottom side of the tablet to force the applications to close.

Broken Screen

If the tablet screen still won't respond, it may be broken. Impacts to the outside of the device, such as falling on the ground, can easily cause a screen to break and become unresponsive. Take away the shell of the tablet, and then replace the screen with a new one. Check out our replacement guide for the digitizer here.

Tablet Failing to Hold a Charge

Even after charging to full, the battery won't last very long.

Broken Charger Wire

A battery failing to charge is often due to a broken wire in the charger , which is generally considered to have only a few years lifetime. To test this, try to use the wire connecting the computer and the tablet. If there is not any reaction to the tablet, it’s possible that the wire is broken. Buy a new charger that is suitable for the tablet as a replacement and try the same procedure again.

Battery Problem

If you're sure that the wire does not have any problems, chances are that your battery is to blame. Generally, the battery has a lifetime of about 500 fully-charged-to-fully-discharged processes. This depends on the charging means and the temperature, but is a good benchmark to go by. If this is the case, your battery will need to replaced. For a guide covering the replacement of the battery, click here.

Quick to Freeze When Multitasking

Tablet appears to lag or lock-up when trying to do multiple tasks at once.

Tablet Slow to Respond

Similar to how computers, cell phones, and laptops can begin to act slow if overworked, so can tablets. This is most often caused by trying to run too many apps at the same time or by continuing to use the tablet while updates process in the background. If you notice your tablet begin to act sluggish, check to see if any unnecessary applications are open or if updates are currently being installed to the device. Short term speed can be improved by either closing these extra apps or simply letting any downloads finish before trying again.

Overloaded Processor

If you still experience an overly slow tablet, this is most likely caused by a processor unsuited to the high demands being placed on it. By trading out the factory installed processor with one rated higher for performance and productivity, you should see an increase in speed from your tablet. The processor is connected to the motherboard. Replacing the old motherboard with a new motherboard is the easiest way to accomplish this task. See our guide here for steps on how to do that.

Blurry or Distorted Pictures

When you attempt to take a picture with your tablet’s camera, it comes out blurry or distorted.

Dirty Camera Lens

If photos come out blurry or smudged then there may be dirt or residue on the surface of your camera. Use a clean cloth to wipe off the camera lens and try again.

Obstructed Camera Lens

Having a case or cover on your tablet may obstruct the view of your camera and cause blurry pictures. Remove the case/cover from your tablet and try again.

Out-of-Date Software

If it seems like the issue is being caused by the tablet’s software, then a lot of the time it is very helpful to run a system update. The issue with your camera may be a bug in your system’s software that has been fixed by its creators. Update to your newest software version and try adjusting the relevant settings before trying the camera again.

Broken Camera

If none of these options have corrected the issue, please refer to our replacement guide here for the corresponding faulty camera (front or back).

Can't Connect to Wi-fi

The device is unable to find or connect to any wireless networks.

Invalid Settings

The correct Wi-Fi settings may have been corrupted or accidentally changed. Reset to the default network settings, choose the desired network you wish to connect with, and enter the wireless network password.

Malfunctioning Wi-Fi Antenna
