If your Turtle Beach Recon Cloud game controller will not connect to devices via Bluetooth, this page may help you resolve the issue.
Incorrect Setting
Your controller might not be in Bluetooth mode, (it has both a Bluetooth and wired mode. To change to Bluetooth mode, you want to:
- Slide the switch on the inner area near the handles, and slide it to the left.
- Hold the Xbox home button for 2 seconds. The light should rapidly flash.
- Hold the pairing button for 2 seconds. Then in your Bluetooth settings on your PC/phone/Xbox select the Turtle Beach Recon Cloud device to pair.
Low Battery Levels
The low battery levels on your controller might be affecting the Bluetooth connectivity. Make sure that your controller is charged.
If charging the battery doesn't work, you might have to replace it. If so, follow this guide Battery replacement.
Restart
Turning your controller off and on might improve the connectivity of your device.
Hard Reset
Your Turtle Beach Recon Cloud controller might need a hard reset. To hard reset:
- Put the controller into wireless mode
- Hold down the mode and Bluetooth buttons at the same time for about 10-20 seconds.
- The LED lights should flicker off, then on and off.
- Turn the controller back on to pair it to whatever device you're trying to pair it too.
- Lastly, connect it to the device you're trying to pair to.
Faulty Firmware
There might be an issue with the firmware and drivers. If there is, you will need to perform an update. To do this you need to:
- Download the Turtle Beach Control Center app
- Connect the controller to the device with the app via cable. The app will help you check and perform the latest firmware update.
